„With this mail i send you two pictures of my studio. During lockdown, as a reaction to a slight loneliness, i started to gather as many people as possible on my paintings. Gathering so many people that at some point that i gazed at the finished pieces not finding a place for myself in there anymore. Seeing familiar scenes from a distance in a different light. Distorted, alienating and almost threatening. A bit like issing ‚the old normal‘ until it becomes evident that it was the problem in the first place.“

„Mit dieser Mail sende ich Ihnen zwei Bilder aus meinem Atelier. Während der Sperrstunde, als Reaktion auf eine leichte Einsamkeit, begann ich, so viele Menschen wie möglich auf meinen Bildern zu versammeln. So viele Menschen zu sammeln, dass ich irgendwann auf die fertigen Stücke blickte und keinen Platz mehr für mich darin fand. Bekannte Szenen aus der Ferne in einem anderen Licht zu sehen. Verzerrt, befremdlich und fast bedrohlich. Ein bisschen wie „das alte Normale“ zu singen, bis klar wird, dass es das Problem überhaupt erst war.“
